Straight to the point: StarCraft II will be released on July 27, 2010.
The first in the trilogy, StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty will be coming to stores three months from now. The release date is sooner than expected. It has just been three months since the closed beta testing began. Now we have a date to look forward to. Thanks to player feedback and suggestions, Blizzard is finally adding the finishing touches to the masterpiece.

To prepare for the launch of the highly anticipated sequel, Blizzard added a splash page to its official StarCraft II page, www.starcraft2.com. It has the title "Nuclear Launch detected", a popular line from the original StarCraft game. Here's a screenshot in case it gets taken down after the release:
